As the Chief Financial Officer of EADS North America, Christopher Emerson oversees all finance, accounting, treasury, capital markets, merger and acquisition activity and planning functions for the U.S. holding company of EADS the worlds second largest aerospace and defense company in terms of revenue.
In addition, Emerson develops the financial systems infrastructure to support EADS North Americas growth in the United States, and facilitates financial reporting policies and procedures for its subsidiaries across the country. He also is a Vice President for Investor Relations, representing EADS NV in all investor relations events.
Emerson brings significant international business experience to his work, having started in 1996 with Mercedes Benz U.S. International in Alabama. He assisted in the creation of the planning and reporting systems for this green-field project.
In early 2000, Emerson joined DaimlerChrysler Aerospace (DASA) in Munich/Germany to assist in the initial public offering and merger of Aerospatiale Matra, Construcciones Aeronauticas (CASA), and DASA as these French, Spanish and German aerospace companies were brought together into a single corporate entity that became EADS. He was involved in coordinating the first consolidated joint business plan for the enterprise valuation, as well as the credit rating process. Emerson then devoted his efforts to establishing the planning and reporting methods and processes within EADS. |
