Litigation
Dale C. Christensen, Jr. is a partner in Seward & Kissel's Litigation group. Mr. Christensen has practiced at the firm since 1979 and has been a partner since 1984.
Mr. Christensen's primary responsibilities include providing litigation services to a broad range of clients including litigation involving banking and commercial disputes, insurance coverage, products liability, environmental, real estate and employment disputes.
Mr. Christensen received an A.B. degree cum laude with High Distinction in his Major of International Relations - Rufus Choate Scholar from Dartmouth College in 1969, a Masters degree in International Affairs from Columbia University's Graduate School of International Affairs 1971, and a J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1976, where he was an editor of the Law Review.
Mr. Christensen is a member of the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, and the Dartmouth Lawyers Association, Inc. Mr. Christensen is a Director and Past President of the Dartmouth Lawyers Association and the Seafarers and International House, Inc. He is a Trustee of Lutheran Medical Center and Lutheran Medical Center Health Systems, Inc. in New York and was recently appointed a Trustee of the General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church. Mr. Christensen is also a member of the New York City Campaign Finance Board reappointed by the Speaker of the City Council to a five year term expiring March, 2009.
Mr. Christensen is admitted to practice before the New York State Courts and before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
