David A. Trice is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Newfield Exploration Company. Trice was named Chairman in September 2004 and has served as Chief Executive Officer since February 2000. He also held the President�s title through July 2007. Prior to this, he was President and COO from May 1999 through February 2000 and Vice President Finance & International and President of Newfield International Holdings, Inc. from May 1997 through May 1999. Prior to joining the Company, he served as President, CEO and Director of Huffco Group, Inc. from 1991 though May 1997. Trice was responsible for directing Huffco's worldwide exploration operations. As an original founder of Newfield, Trice served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director from 1989-91. From 1980-89 he served as an officer of several companies owned by Roy M. Huffington, Inc., and from 1973-80 he was an attorney with an Atlanta law firm. Trice is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Hornbeck Offshore Services, Inc., Grant Prideco, Inc. and New Jersey Resources. He is also a member of the American Exploration & Production Council, the Independent Petroleum Association of America and is on the Board of Trustees of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Trice received a J.D. from Columbia University's School of Law and a B.A. in Managerial Science from Duke University. |
