Dave is a senior managing director at Eureka. He has been an investment banker since 1980 and has completed more than 80 merger and acquisition transactions and more than 40 public equity offerings. Prior to joining Eureka, Dave was head of consumer sector investment banking at Raymond James & Associates; he was previously managing partner of David F. Smith & Co., an investment banking boutique, and an adjunct professor at the Columbia University Graduate Business School, where he developed the seminar � Private Equity in the Middle Market.�? From 1983 to 1996 he was head of the consumer sector mergers and acquisitions at Alex. Brown & Sons, where he was a founding member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group. He began his investment banking career with The Robinson-Humphrey Company and was previously an attorney with the firm of Alston & Bird. Dave earned a J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as an editor of the Law Review and won the Edwin R. Keedy Law Review Award, and holds an M.B.A. degree from the Wharton Graduate Business School, where he was a Wharton Public Policy Fellow.
