He received his B.S in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, his D.M.D from Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School. He is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Dr. Altobelli was on the Harvard faculty and was part of the Craniofacial team at Boston�s Children�s Hospital and the plastic surgery group at Brigham and Women�s Hospital. He also co-founded the Craniofacial Osseointegration Center at the Brigham and Women�s Hospital and the Facial Engineering & Morphology Research Lab, and was part of a collaborative team with GE, Sun, and the Surgical Planning Lab at the Brigham.
Dr. Altobelli has also been a biomedical consultant for 20 years, including two medical startup ventures, and has been a technical contributor with the research group at DEKA Research and Development since 2001. He has numerous publications, is co-editor of several bioengineering and biomaterials texts, and holds several patents. |
