Ed Watt is secretary-treasurer of Transport Workers Union Local 100, a position he was elected to in 2000.
In this post, Mr. Watt oversees an annual budget of $20 million, serves as treasurer of the local�s political action committee, and has financial responsibility for the local�s assets, including its union hall. He serves as Local 100 President Roger Toussaint�s designee on the board of the New York City Employees Retirement System and on the boards of several other health and pension funds.
Before become secretary-treasurer, Mr. Watt worked for 20 years as a bus operator at the Ulmer Park and Flatbush depots of MTA New York City Transit.
He is a graduate of St. Francis College and holds a master of science in industrial and labor relations from Baruch-Cornell. |
