Eugene B. Katz, a Senior Vice President of Hovde Financial, joined the firm in 1997. He is an investment banker with over ten years of experience in M&A for financial institutions.
His responsibilities at Hovde include the structuring and negotiating of merger and acquisition transactions, valuations of banks and thrifts, the identification and implementation of strategic alternatives for financial institutions and the financial analysis performed during the merger and acquisition process. Mr. Katz has served institutions in structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, sale assignments, branch acquisitions and divestitures, and raising capital. He is actively involved in growing the firm�s international client practice with cross-border transactions emanating to and from the U.S. Mr. Katz has had a number of public speech engagements and is often interviewed for industry publications.
Mr. Katz, a native of Russia, earned his undergraduate degree in Finance and Investments with a concentration in International Studies from Babson College in Massachusetts. He is involved in alumni affairs at Babson and is an active member of the Jewish United Fund (JUF). Mr. Katz also serves on the Board of Directors of CenTrust Bank in Deerfield, IL. |
