Fred Shlapak was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Semiconductor Products Sector at Motorola Corporation when he retired in February 2004. Mr. Shlapak�s 33-year career at Motorola also included leading the company�s Canadian semiconductor operations. Later, Mr. Shlapak moved to Europe where he had roles of increasing responsibility that culminated with him leading Motorola�s European semiconductor group while living in Geneva, Switzerland.
Mr. Shlapak holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Mr. Shlapak also serves on the boards of Tundra Semiconductor Corporation, a global leader in System Interconnect solutions, and Gennum Corporation, a global leader in Video Imaging solutions. |
