Dr. Zoley is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of The GEO Group,Inc. and Chief Executive Officer of GEO Care, Inc. He served as The GEO Group�s Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from January 1997 to May 2002, as President and a Director of GEO since it was incorporated in 1988, and Chief Executive officer since April 1994.
Dr. Zoley established The GEO Group as a division of The Wackenhut Corporation (TWC) in 1984 when the company was named Wackenhut Corrections Corporation. Dr. Zoley continues to be a major factor in GEO�s development of the privatized correctional and detention facility business. Dr. Zoley is also a director of The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd, Australasian Correctional Services Pty Limited, Australasian Correctional Management Pty Limited, Canadian Correctional Management Inc., GEO RE Holdings, LLC., GEO Care, Inc. (formerly Atlantic Shores Healthcare, Inc.), The GEO Group, N.V., and of other subsidiaries through which GEO conducts its operations. From 1981 through 1988, he served as manager, director, and then vice president of Government Services for Wackenhut Services, Inc. (WSI). Dr. Zoley was responsible for the development of opportunities in the privatization of government services by WSI.
Prior to joining WSI, Dr. Zoley held various administrative and management positions for city and county governments in South Florida. Dr. Zoley has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Zoley, an alumnus of Florida Atlantic University, is a member of their Board of Trustees. He also serves on the Board of Take Stock in Children. |
