G�nther Fleig has been a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since October 1, 1999, and is responsible for Human Resources. He is also Director of Labor Relations of the company.
G�nther Fleig was born in M�nchweiler in the Black Forest on February 2, 1949. He studied economics at the University of Freiburg from 1967 to 1972, earning a degree in economics.
His professional career began in 1972 at the accounting and tax consultancy firm of KPMG. In 1980 he joined the then Daimler-Benz AG to work on the development of global accounting. From 1983, G�nther Fleig was Head of Finance and Controlling at WMF AG. In 1988 he returned to work for Daimler-Benz AG and from 1990 he headed Finance and Controlling Management at Mercedes-Benz AG. |
