Ira Shavel, Vice President, has more than 20 years of experience in energy industry analysis and computer modelling, as well as expertise in the operation of U.S. electric power system, market price forecasting, market power analysis, and the implications of environmental regulations for asset value and electric power prices. Dr. Shavel�s clients include electric utilities, marketers, developers, natural gas pipeline companies, trade associations, industry research groups, and federal agencies. His experience in electricity industry restructuring extends to the Russian, Polish, and Spanish electricity markets. Dr. Shavel has also directed numerous projects pertaining to the electricity industry in the United States. For example, he co-directed the development of the infrastructure for a bulk power trading organization, including a tactical computer system and databases to support trading.
