Karl Williams is a partner in the Corporate Finance Department and a member of the Lease Finance Group. He has been practicing law since 1986 when he joined Chapman and Cutler LLP. Mr. Williams is a member of the firm�s Policy Committee and its Diversity Committee. Mr. Williams is engaged primarily in lease finance, with a concentration in rail equipment finance. He represents lessees (including three U.S. class I railroads) and debt and equity investors in cross-border, leveraged, single-investor and synthetic lease transactions involving a variety of assets. Mr. Williams also represents insurance companies, pension funds, banks and other institutional investors in connection with a wide variety of financial transactions. These transactions include the placement of debt (secured and unsecured) and equity securities, leveraged buyout and acquisition financings, real estate and equipment financings, leveraged and synthetic leases and credit enhancement programs. |
