Kate Patan� is counsel in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP, based in its London office. She is a member of the Securitization and Structured Finance Group where her practice focuses on a broad range of debt capital market transactions with particular emphasis on private placements and public transactions where the receivables emanate from various European and non-European jurisdictions and are listed on the London, Irish or Luxembourg stock exchange.
Kate has extensive experience advising arrangers, rating agencies, monolines, issuers and trustees in the structuring and rating of CMBS and RMBS transactions.
During her career Kate has been on secondment to Moscow Narodny Bank, Lehman Brothers and Bayerische Hypo-und Vereinsbank AG, London Branch.

Advising the security trustee, cash manager, and senior lender in a structured finance ECP transaction
Advising a lead manager on the private placement of marketing receivables relating to the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cup
Advising rating agencies, arrangers, issuers, borrowers, lenders, corporate service providers, cash managers, monolines and trustees (i.e., security trustee, note trustee or share trustee) in warehousing and receivables securitisation transactions (e.g., student loans, credit cards, auto loans, pubs, commercial and residential mortgages and trade receivables) and Islamic finance transactions
