Kenneth R. Weigand is senior vice president human resources for Walgreen Co., the nation�s largest drugstore chain.
He joined Walgreens in 1983 as an attorney in the employee relations department. He became corporate manager of personnel in 1988, was promoted to a divisional vice president employee relations in 2000, then to a divisional vice president performance development in October 2003. He was named a vice president of human resources in January 2005 and to his current position in January 2007.
He earned a B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois in 1979, a law degree from Vanderbilt University in 1982 and an M.B.A. in finance from Loyola University, Chicago, in 1988.
