Mr. Martin was first elected as a Director of the Company in July 1994 and is currently Chairman of the Compensation and Human Resources Committee. Mr. Martin is a also member of the Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees and serves as the Lead Independent Director of Aimco�s Board. Mr. Martin is the Founder and Managing Director of Platte River Ventures LLC, a private equity firm. In November 2005, Mr. Martin retired as Chairman and CEO of Titanium Metals Corporation, a publicly held integrated producer of titanium metals, where he served since January 1994. Mr. Martin served as President and CEO of NL Industries, Inc., a publicly held manufacturer of titanium dioxide chemicals, from 1987 to 2003. Mr. Martin is also a director of Halliburton Company, a publicly held provider of products and services to the energy industry and Crown Castle International Corporation, a publicly held wireless communications company. |
