Laura Glynn, founder and CEO of Glynn Technologies has been creating and delivering technology solutions for over 22 years. As a graduate of New York Institute of Technology, with a background in multimedia, communication arts, and television broadcasting, Laura Glynn focused her company�s growth to respond to the emerging Internet and its subsequent web-based technology needs. Glynn Technologies was founded in 1991 as the World Wide Web was gaining popularity as a business platform. Laura was one of the first entrepreneurs to create a business focused on developing and delivering interactive educational and training software applications in multiple formats. Since then, she has been building, testing and deploying web applications to a wide range of government and private customers in various operating environments who share the common need to deliver complex information to its clients. In the Federal and Commercial markets, Glynn Technologies serves as a life-cycle technology partner by providing network configuration, administration and security solutions in various environments. Glynn also supports its customers in enterprise application environments, deploying, customizing and maintaining COTS applications, for portal and web content management solutions. Laura is active in the community serving on the MCCC board, Chairs the tennis and golf tournaments, serves on the Public Safety Awards Committee, and supports the mental health community by developing televised public service announcements and vidcasts to promote awareness of young runaways and gang intervention within our local community. She is an involved parent who advocates in her school community by offering her technology services to a variety of nonprofit and educational programs. Ms. Glynn is a finalist in the Women in Technology, Heroines of Technology award for 2007. Laura is honored to accept the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Leader of the Year award. |
