Tony Porter, Managing Director, is responsible for PMI�s international residential credit enhancement activities. Tony currently lives in Dublin, Ireland actively directing the company�s initiatives across Europe. PMI has been established in Europe since 2001 with a AA-rated subsidiary now with over �100 million in capital.
Prior to this assignment, Tony established the Company�s Hong Kong business. He then oversaw The PMI Group, Inc.�s first Australian acquisition, MGICA. While assisting in the integration of MGICA and living in Sydney, Tony led the 2001 acquisition of CGU Lenders� Mortgage Insurance Company in Australia & New Zealand. Prior to assuming the leadership role for international markets, Tony managed Marketing and then Institutional Markets, which fostered the use of PMI�s automated underwriting system in the capital markets.
Along with the PMI Europe Board, Tony is a member of the Board of Directors of PMI Australia. He is an Executive Vice President and director of PMI Capital Corporation which oversees PMI�s international and financial guaranty operations. Tony is also a founding member of the Board of Habitat for Humanity Ireland.
A graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles, Tony holds bachelor�s degrees in Economics and Psychology and has received advanced training at Northwestern University�s executive management program. He was awarded Faculty Fellow by the U.S. Mortgage Bankers Association for commitment and excellence in teaching in the School of Mortgage Banking. |
