Mr. Zambrano has been a member of our board of directors since 1979 and chairman of our board of directors since 1995. He is a member of the board of directors of IBM, the International Advisory Board of Citigroup, and the Chairman�s Council of Daimler Chrysler AG. He is also a member of the board of directors of Fomento Econ�mico Mexicano, S.A. de C.V., Empresas ICA, S.A. de C.V., Alfa, S.A. de C.V., Grupo Financiero Banamex, S.A. de C.V., Vitro, S.A. and Grupo Televisa, S.A. Mr. Zambrano is chairman of the board of directors of Consejo de Ense�anza e Investigaci�n Superior, A.C., which manages ITESM and a member of the Stanford Business School�s advisory board.
Mr. Zambrano joined CEMEX in 1968. He was named CEO in 1985 and has served as Chairman of the Board since 1995. He holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Tecnol�gico de Monterrey and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He is a member of the IBM Board of Directors, the Citigroup International Advisory Board, the International Advisory Board of the Allianz Companies, and the boards of directors of Alfa, Grupo Financiero Banamex, FEMSA, ICA, Televisa, and Vitro. Mr. Zambrano is also Chairman of the Board of Tecnol�gico de Monterrey.
