Mr. Steele joined Jakel as President and Chief Operating Officer in November 2005. Mark has an extensive background in managing global manufacturing, international supply chain operations. Prior to joining Jakel Inc., Mr. Steele was most recently President and COO of a $60MM producer of building products that was owned by a private equity firm, and prior to that served Kennametal, Inc. as General Manager for the Electronics Products group. Mark also served as VP and Director of Global Purchasing and Supply Management at Kennametal where he led sourcing for over $700MM of goods and services to serve 45 factories in 16 countries. Mr. Steele earned an MBA/MSIA from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Steele earned Board of Director Certification from UCLA�s Anderson Business School, which is certified by Institutional Shareholder Services for such training. Mr. Steele also served on the Board of Examiners for the 1995 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. In addition to Mr. Steele's Professional Engineer certification, he earned certifications as CPIM from APICS, CQE and CQA from ASQ. |
