As vice president of apparel for the EMEA, region, Mary Kate is responsible for Nike�s apparel business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). EMEA comprises the Nike brand�s largest regional apparel business with fiscal 2007 revenues of approximately $1.76 billion. Buckley previously led Nike�s America�s region since 2001, leading a 77 percent growth in revenues for that region through fiscal 2007 to $953 million. As head of the Americas, Buckley led Nike to become the No. 1 football (soccer) brand in the region and helped position the region organizationally for long-term growth.
Before joining Nike, Mary Kate worked for The Walt Disney Company for 11 years in New York, Hong Kong and Paris, where she held several different positions in finance, marketing and strategic planning. Her last position at Disney was Director of New Ventures for Disney Consumer Products in Paris, where she managed the design, production, marketing and distribution of Disney�s European licensed catalogues. She has also worked for the financial advertising and public relations company Doremus & Co. and for Grey Advertising, both in New York. |
