Matthew Growney drives DarwinSuzsoft�s business development in the U.S. and China, creating and executing the company�s plan for expanding its footprint in the China offshore market through mergers and acquisitions.
Before joining DarwinSuzsoft, Matthew was co-founder and managing director of Motorola Ventures (MV), where he co-managed approximately $350M across over 70 companies. A member of Motorola�s Corporate Strategy Office, he opened and managed Motorola Ventures� offices in Palo Alto, Boston, Tel Aviv and Beijing, creating the investment program in 1997 and establishing it as one of the premier corporate venture practices in the world. Matthew was also responsible for establishing Motorola�s investment practice in China, making direct investments and serving on the Board and Investment Committee of Shanghai NewMargin Ventures.
In addition to his work at DarwinSuzsoft, Matthew serves on the Board of Advisors for both Sigma Capital Partners and Synchrony Venture Management and on the Board of Directors at Todobebe, a media company focused on infants and new parents.
Matthew also serves a member of the Advisory Board for the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship in New England and is active with the Boston Children�s Museum. In November 2005, Matthew was named one of Boston's "40 under 40" by the Boston Business Journal for his professional achievement and community contributions in New England. |
