As an associate consultant for Noel-Levitz, Melanie Mickelson offers 15 years of experience in college admissions. Her areas of expertise include undergraduate admissions, transfer student enrollment, financial aid strategies, and campus marketing. Currently, Ms. Mickelson serves as director of admissions at Wilkes University (PA), where she supervises all enrollment planning, including travel, communications, and financial aid strategies. From 2003-2007, Ms. Mickelson�s efforts helped Wilkes University enroll the five largest freshman classes in school history, while also increasing average SAT scores by 18 points and out-of-state enrollment by 7 percent. She also helped launch a new online community for accepted students and a new publication series for the university.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Mickelson has served in a variety roles at Wilkes. As associate director of admissions/transfer coordinator, she increased spring transfer enrollment by 60 percent, setting a school record. During her tenure as assistant dean of admissions, Ms. Mickelson developed the school�s communications plan while also writing the viewbook and letters for the communication flow.
