Melinda Sumurdy serves as Executive Vice President in DHR International�s Dallas, TX office.Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sumurdy served as Managing Partner/Senior Vice President at Hyl� Human Capital Partners. In this role, Ms. Sumurdy was responsible for providing strategic direction, operational expertise, vision and leadership. Bringing to Hyle twelve years of recruiting industry management experience, with both private and public firms, she championed the best of the best in people, processes and procedures. Before joning Hyl�, Ms. Sumurdy served as Executive Vice President with TMP Worldwide where she was a founding Team Member in their Search & Selection practice. Prior to this, Ms. Sumurdy held the role of Partner with LAI Worldwide Executive Search in their Consumer Products/Retail Practice, and served as Vice President of Kenzer Corporation�s Dallas office, a boutique executive search firm. In search, Ms. Sumurdy�s clients have ranged from new, venture-funded start-ups to larger firms who are leaders in their respective industries, chartered with conducting assignments in growth and benchstrengths, turnarounds, and re-engineering environments. She has placed �C-level� through middle management positions in numerous industries and in all functional areas. Before her career in search, Ms. Sumurdy was a Senior Business Development Officer handling joint ventures and licensing agreements between companies in the United States and Canada. She also held positions as Vice President, Marketing for a public relations company and Business Analyst for Sherwood Medical.
