Michael J. Wuest is the Executive Vice President and President McNeilus Companies Inc. He was appointed to this position in May 2004. In this role he is responsible for all companies within the commercial business unit which includes McNeilus the Geesink Norba Group London Machinery and CON-E-CO. Wuest has been instrumental in leading the Enterprise Resource Planning installation and the integration of LEAN technology at McNeilus.
Wuest has held increasingly broad and responsible positions since joining Oshkosh in 1981 primarily in the areas of purchasing and operations. In 1998 Wuest was promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Oshkosh Truck with primary responsibility for production quality procurement and testing of Oshkosh brand defense and commercial products. In 1999 he assumed the same responsibilities at the company�s fire apparatus subsidiary Pierce Manufacturing Inc. In 2001 Mike returned to Oshkosh as Executive Vice President Chief Procurement Officer and General Manager Airport Business. In this role he had responsibility for all aspects of the company�s strategic procurement activities global sourcing and supply chain management and development. In addition Wuest was responsible for the company�s airport products business including sales engineering production and service.
