Michael Barton, Pharm.D. - Senior Vice President, Knowledge and Product Development
Michael Barton is a clinical pharmacist with extensive clinical and academic experience in applied medical informatics. He has executed and managed product development and knowledge engineering for the TheraDoc Expert System Platform�, knowledge modules, alerting systems, and workflow applications. Mr. Barton has more than 10 years of experience in infectious diseases, pharmcoepidemiology, and computerized surveillance for infections and adverse events. He actively participates in the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (formerly NCCLS) M-39 workgroup for antibiogram standards development. Mr. Barton served for five years as an independent consultant for several hospital information system providers. He completed his undergraduate and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. |
