Michael Jackson is the President of Programming for IAC. In this capacity he is responsible for overseeing the Company�s initiatives in the development acquisition and distribution of programming. Recent ventures from IAC Programming include CollegeHumor.com and Vimeo part of Connected Ventures; VeryShortList; and the soon-to-be-launched 236.com.
Mr. Jackson joined USA Networks Inc. in 2001 as President and Chief Executive of USA Entertainment. There he oversaw the USA Network Sci Fi and Trio as well as the USA television studio and USA Films. Mr. Jackson assumed the role of Chairman of Universal Television Group following the 2002 merger of USA Networks Inc. and Vivendi Universal Entertainment. In this capacity he orchestrated the group�s fiscal turnaround and led a major investment in original cable programming that resulted in Monk The Dead Zone and Battlestar Galactica. Mr. Jackson has had a long career in British television serving as Controller of BBC2 and BBC1 and Chief Executive of Channel Four where he launched two new channels E4 and Film Four. In the U.K. Mr. Jackson was responsible for programs such as Da Ali G Show Queer as Folk and Trading Spaces. |
