Michael McAnder joined Allina Hospitals & Clinics in July 2007. As chief financial officer (CFO), he is responsible for ensuring that Allina resources are deployed properly to enhance the quality, safety and effectiveness of the care Allina provides to patients and communities.
McAnder came to Allina from Banner Health in Phoenix, Arizona, where he served as system vice president of managed care and treasurer since 2001. In his 20 years with Banner Health, he held several senior leadership positions in the finance/treasury functions, including Arizona region chief financial officer and chief financial officer of one of Banner�s predecessor organizations, Lutheran Healthcare Network.
McAnder grew up in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He graduated from Moorhead State University in 1982 with a degree in accounting. He began his career with several health care organizations in the Fargo/Moorhead area, including Eide Bailly and Company and St. Ansgar Hospital.
McAnder enjoys music, attending sporting events with his son, and fishing. His previous community service activities include serving on the boards of directors for Child Crisis Center of Mesa, Arizona, and New Way Learning Academy in Scottsdale, Ariz. |
