Milt Childress is vice president, strategic planning and business development at EnPro Industries. He leads EnPro's acquisition initiatives, strategic planning processes and other business development activities.
Prior to EnPro, Childress was with McGuireWoods Capital Group, a merger and acquisitions advisor providing strategic advice to a broad group of industrial clients. He co-founded the Charlotte-based group in 2001, after nine years at United Dominion Industries, where he was senior vice president, planning and development. Before joining United Dominion in 1992, Childress was a senior member of Ernst & Young's southeastern corporate finance practice, where he provided merger and acquisition and corporate finance advisory services.
Childress received an MBA from the University of Virginia�s Darden School in 1983. He graduated in 1979 from the University of Tennessee, where he received the top graduate award from the College of Business Administration. Childress is also a 1994 graduate of Leadership Charlotte.
Childress has been active in a number of professional, civic and charitable organizations. He was a co-founder and board member of the Charlotte chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth where he served as chapter president. He later served on the association�s national board as vice president, Corporate Member Affairs. He has been actively involved with the education of at-risk preschool children, serving on the boards of two innovative programs in the Charlotte area. He currently serves as vice president and treasurer of Myers Park Trinity Little League and is on the board of Crisis Assistance Ministry. Childress and his wife, Carol, have three children. |
