Nolan D. Archibald is Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of The Black & Decker Corporation, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of Black and Decker, DeWalt, Porter-Cable and Delta power tools and accessories, Kwikset, Baldwin, Weiser and Price Pfister hardware, and home improvement products, and Emhart technology-based fastening systems.
He joined Black & Decker as President, Chief Operating Officer, and Director in 1985 and chief executive officer in 1986. He has served continuously as Chairman since 1987. Prior to joining Black & Decker, Mr. Archibald held various management positions at Beatrice Companies, Inc. from 1977 to 1985, culminating with his appointment as corporate senior vice president and president of the Consumer Durables Group.
Under Mr. Archibald�s leadership, Black & Decker has become noted for its new-product development success, marketing expertise, and strong customer partnerships.
Mr. Archibald is a member of the boards of directors of Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT) and Brunswick Corporation (NYSE:BC) and the Huntsman Corporation. He is a recipient of the American Marketing Association�s Edison Achievement Award for significant and lasting contributions to marketing excellence and product innovation. |
