Phil E. Ruben, 47, is Senior Securities Partner in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group and the Wealth Transfer Service Area at Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC, principally located in Chicago. Ruben concentrates his practice in representing public companies, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and both public and private equity transactions for the 70-lawyer firm. A member of the firm�s Executive Committee, Ruben has been general counsel for Rymer Foods, Inc. Entrade, Inc., ARTRA Group Incorporated, The Lori Corporation, Ozite Corporation, The Leap Group, and others. Former managing partner of Kwiatt & Ruben, Ruben was admitted to practice in Illinois and the United States Tax Court in 1983, and is a member of the Illinois and Chicago Bar Association. He received a B.A. in accounting from University of Illinois in 1980 and a law degree from Chicago Kent College of Law in 1983. Ruben also received his registration as a Certified Public Accountant in 1983. Ruben serves as President and Chairman of the North Suburban YMCA, as a member of the Corporate Donations Committee for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and as an advisory director of the American Theater Company in Chicago.
