Philip Canelli is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the New York office. Philip is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department, where he focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, licensing and products liability.
In addition to being an active member of the trial teams in several patent litigations, Philip has also practiced before the International Trade Commission and arbitrated cases concerning intellectual property licenses, as well as actions involving antitrust, unfair competition, contract and fraud issues. Philip has also provided counseling and presented technical and legal information to start-up and Fortune 250 companies with regard to intellectual property management and proprietary technology as well as strategies for enforcing intellectual property rights and increasing royalty generation.
His practice has involved client representations and intellectual property counseling in a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, nanotechnology, consumer products, agribusiness, semiconductors and financial services. Prior to joining the Firm, Philip clerked for the New York State Attorney General�s Office, as well as for Judge Jack B. Weinstein.
He is admitted to practice in California and New York and is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Science & Technology Association.
