Rebecca J. Maziarz is an associate of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. She concentrates her practice in the area of Health Care Law and Employment Law, with a particular emphasis in Medical Malpractice Litigation. She also practices in Estate Planning and Administration. She is a member of the firm�s Marketing Committee. Ms. Maziarz is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Allegheny County Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice before all state courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Maziarz was the Director of Medical Information Management for Sewickley Valley Hospital and also Westmoreland Regional Hospital. Ms. Maziarz graduated from University of Pittsburgh in 1985 with a B.S. in Health Records Administration. She received her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2001, where she was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Honor Society and received the Order of the Barristers award. Ms. Maziarz has lectured on confidentiality and the quality process in the health care setting. She was active in the Western Pennsylvania Health Information Management Association, serving as President and Chairperson of the DRG/Legislative Committee, and was also active in the state organization, serving as chairperson of the Credentials Committee. Ms. Maziarz serves on the Executive Council for the Women in Law Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh, Japan American Society of Pennsylvania, the Executive Women�s Council of Pittsburgh, and the Board of Directors for HEARTH. |
