Mr. Jaffee received a degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Business in 1957 and earned his CPA certificate in that same year. He worked briefly for the public accounting firm of Touche Niven et. al. After service as an officer in the U.S. Army he joined the Company in 1958 becoming its president in 1960 a position he held until 1995. He served as Chief Executive Officer of the Company from 1962 until 1997. Mr. Jaffee retired as an employee of the Company in 2001. He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Company since 1962. Mr. Jaffee is a director of Harris Bancorp Inc. and Bankmont Financial subsidiaries of the Bank of Montreal. He is a trustee vice chairman and a member of the executive committees of Rush Presbyterian St. Luke�s Medical Center and the Illinois Institute of Technology. In addition he is a trustee of the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry and the Chicago Historical Society. Mr. Jaffee received an honorary Doctor of Human Letters degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2001. |
