Roy Banks is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of Authorize.Net�s American Fork, UT office as well as all sales and risk management initiatives. Authorize.Net was purchased by Lightbridge in March of 2004 and is operated as a service of Lightbridge. Banks joined Authorize.Net in July 1999 as vice president of business development, and was later promoted to general manager. Under his guidance and leadership, Authorize.Net�s merchant portfolio has grown from 35,000 active merchant to over 150,000. He has also been instrumental in the overall revenue growth and increased profitability of the Authorize.Net business.
Prior to joining Authorize.Net, Banks held a number of engineering and marketing positions with WordPerfect, which was later acquired by Novell, then spun-off and acquired by Corel. Additionally, Banks held leadership positions with Modus Media International and Power Quest, where he was director of market development. Prior to these positions, Banks served in the Department of the Navy from 1987 to 1992. While in the Navy, Banks served as a data processing technician specializing in logistics.
Banks holds a BS in Marketing from Utah Valley State College.
