Sam Eckelmann has nearly 25 years of experience in operations, consulting, and software development for the financial services industry. In 1991, he formed his own consulting practice, the predecessor to E/W Group that was founded in 1993. Sam is a Managing Partner with E/W Group, and has performed numerous engagements for some of the World�s top financial services firms and service providers including FIDELITY, PUTNAM INVESTMENTS, and SALOMON SMITH BARNEY. These engagements have covered functional areas such as Futures and Options trading, order management and trading room systems for international equity funds and global fixed income portfolios, data warehousing, and broker compensation. This experience, coupled with Sam�s background in capital markets and investment accounting systems, was the genesis of the BasisPoint� design. Sam is also President of efSolutions, a majority owned subsidiary of E/W Group, offering a suite of software applications including BasisPoint.
From 1986 to 1991, Sam was with SS&C TECHNOLOGIES where he was Managing Director, responsible for directing the ongoing development and maintenance of the CAMRA investment accounting system. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Director of Compliance at ADVEST INC., and the Director of Trading and Operations for J.S. BARR & CO. Sam is a qualified securities broker and NASD Principal, and holds an economics degree from Cornell University |
