Sayed Darwish joined Polycom as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary on August 8, 2005. He is responsible for overseeing the full range of legal affairs for the company, including intellectual property policies, corporate governance, litigation, regulatory compliance and corporate transactions.
Prior to joining Polycom, Sayed served as Vice President & General Counsel for EMC Corporation's Software Group. Sayed joined EMC in 2003 after its acquisition of Documentum, Inc., where Sayed was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.
Sayed also served as Vice President & General Counsel at Fort� Software, Inc. where he helped manage the successful merger of Fort� with Sun Microsystems, Inc. Sayed also worked as Corporate Counsel at Oracle Corporation and as an associate in the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison.
He is a graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law; J.D. cum laude, and holds a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois, Urbana. |
