Scott Sommers joined SureWest as vice president, treasurer in 2006. Sommers leads all treasury functions, including cash management, investor relations, banking and financial institution relationships; directing the planning, procurement and investment funds.

Sommers has over 20 years of banking and finance experience, most recently serving as managing director of investment banking for Cantor Fitzgerald in Los Angeles, CA. He has also held executive roles with Mellon Financial Group, KBC and Union Bank of Switzerland. He earned his bachelor�s degree in history and psychology from the University of Iowa in 1981 and possesses a master's degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, AZ.
