Simon Dobson serves as Managing Director for Delaware North Companies in the United Kingdom. The company has recently secured a 25-year contract for the exclusive food and beverage services at the new Wembley Stadium in London and has also been awarded a 20-year contract for the exclusive supply of food and beverage services at the new Emirates Stadium, home of the Arsenal Football Club, also in London. Delaware North Companies is now committed to expanding it�s presence within the UK market and beyond to Western Europe.
Simon has had a long and impressive career in the hospitality industry over the last 20 years. Initially, Simon began his career within his parent�s hotel group. He then moved to work in some of London�s finest establishments. In 1991, Simon entered the food service business when he joined Ring & Brymer, then part of Gardner Merchant. He held a number of General Management positions before briefly rejoining his parent�s hotel group. Simon rejoined Gardner Merchant Leisure as Catering Services Director at Silverstone Circuit, home of the British Grand Prix. Subsequent promotions and the purchase of this company by the Sodexho Alliance saw Simon advance his career to Managing Director - South for Sodexho Prestige within the UK. In this role Simon was responsible for the Group�s many contracts within England, covering venues such as Ascot Racecourse, The Chelsea Flower Show, Blenheim Palace and Buckingham Palace Royal Garden Parties.
Simon was delighted to join Delaware North Companies in June 2004 where his breadth of experience in a line of business which is strongly allied to that of Delaware North Companies has already led to some success to the business. As part of Delaware North Companies International he is proud to lead the UK team and through both his shared vision and leadership will re-establish a strong presence for Delaware North within the UK market.
Simon is affiliated to a number of leading industry bodies and is proud to be a guardian member of Hospitality Action, the UK�s leading industry charity and also to serve as a member of the charity�s London Board. |
