Experience:
Tom Mullen is an experienced transactional attorney whose practice focuses on finance, insolvency and private equity real estate funds. Tom provides representation and counsel to commercial banks in negotiating and documenting secured lending arrangements. In addition, he advises commercial banking clients engaged in international financing transactions. For the last five years, Tom has been part of Mayer Brown�s Private Investment Funds practice, representing private equity real estate funds as borrowers in secured and unsecured financings.
Tom also represents commercial banks in insolvencies, workouts and bankruptcies. He advises corporate clients, including casinos and companies in the entertainment and lodging industries.
Tom joined Mayer Brown in 1967, serving in the firm�s Chicago office to 1974, then in London (1974-1978), and since 1978, in Chicago again. He was hiring partner in the Chicago office from 1998 until 2007, and he continues as a member of the Recruiting Committee and the Committee on Diversity and Inclusion.
