As Chief Marketing Officer, Tom Byrne oversees LoopNet�s marketing initiatives including sales, pricing/revenue management, corporate branding, advertising, promotions and market planning.
Byrne brings over 12 years of strategy, marketing, operations and business management experience to LoopNet, including 9 years with technology or commercial real estate companies. Immediately prior to joining LoopNet, Byrne served as Group Vice President of NextCard�s Secured Card business unit responsible for the business unit�s P&L and for all functional groups including strategy, marketing, client services, portfolio management and finance. While managing the Secured Card unit, Byrne successfully led the business unit to cashflow breakeven and eventually to annualized profitability of more than $4 million. Prior to this position, Byrne held various positions within NextCard including Vice President of E-commerce, where he was responsible for leading all e-commerce strategy, product development and partnership management. During his tenure, NextCard�s e-commerce leadership was recognized by numerous industry analysts and publications including Online Banking Report, Gomez, and Jupiter Media Metrix.
Prior to NextCard, Byrne has held management positions at McKinsey & Company providing business, operational, and marketing strategies for clients in the technology and consumer goods industries. Byrne also spent 5 years with Prudential working in various investment capacities, including the Prudential Real Estate Group, in both commercial real estate acquisitions and mortgage loan workout groups.
Byrne holds a MBA from the Harvard Business School and has a B.S. of Electrical Engineering, with highest honors, from Georgia Tech. |
